Northwest RESA Cancellation/Refund Policy

This policy applies to all Northwest RESA classes except GaTAPP,  GaLAPP, Leadership Center Classes, and Substitute Teacher Trainings*.

Northwest RESA makes every effort to provide high quality professional learning experiences at low costs to teachers in its service area. Because we must contract with instructors, purchase materials, etc., we must finalize decisions- at minimum- one week in advance regarding cancellation of classes where registration is inadequate.

Therefore, our cancellation/no show policy is as follows:

  • If you choose PERSONAL PAY as your payment method: You must use a credit card to complete your registration for all classes with Northwest RESA. We will happily issue a refund for any class as long as you notify us that you need to cancel AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE CLASS. You will be refunded via the same method of payment within two to four business weeks.

  • If you choose DISTRICT PAY as your payment method: Your district will be notified of all no-shows and invoiced for no-shows and/or cancellations made less than one week prior to class.

Refunds and reimbursements are not transferable to other classes. Refunds for cancellations (if the participant cancels at least one week prior to class OR if Northwest RESA cancels the class) will be processed within two business weeks of the date of the course.

ALL QUESTIONS REGARDING THESE ISSUES SHOULD BE COMMUNICATED THROUGH YOUR DISTRICT RESA-PROFESSIONAL LEARNING CONTACT. THIS INDIVIDUAL WILL CONTACT RESA. IT IS DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE TO FOLLOW ANY OTHER METHOD AND COULD IMPEDE THE PROCESS IN YOUR ABILITY TO RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT.

EMERGENCY SITUATIONS WILL BE HANDLED BY THE NORTHWEST RESA DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL LEARNING.

*We do not issue refunds for SUBSTITUTE TEACHER TRAINING. If you are not able to attend the class date for which you registered,  you will need to contact our office to reschedule prior to the class start date. One-Time transfers only. Class registration cannot be transferred across fiscal years.
