Vision
The vision of Northwest Georgia RESA is to empower all school communities with the tools to ensure every person’s capacity to reach his/her potential – both academically and socially – which will lead to each person becoming a productive member of our global society.
Mission
Northwest Georgia RESA’s mission is to develop the capacity of the school community to positively impact student achievement.
The Northwest Georgia Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) is one of 16 regional educational service agencies strategically located in service districts throughout the State of Georgia. The agencies were established for the purpose of sharing services designed to improve the effectiveness of the educational programs of member school systems. In addition, the RESAs assist the State Department of Education in promoting its initiatives. The RESAs inform systems of innovation and gather research on programs as needed.
The Northwest Georgia RESA office is located in Rome, Georgia, in Floyd County. The center provides space and a base of operation for personnel from each RESA program as they travel to the area schools to work with administrators, teachers, and students.
