Julie Dean – GA TAPP Supervisor!

See the Rockmart Journal (9/21/05) article about the Julie Dean Exceptional Children’s Center.

The Northwest/Metro RESA Georgia Teacher Alternative Preparation Program (GA TAPP), offered by both Northwest and Metro RESAs, has received national recognition. Our GA TAPP program was one of six alternative certification programs in the United States to be identified as exemplary, and was included in the U.S. Department of Education Office of Innovation and Improvement’s report on innovative programs.

The program was also recognized at the Transitions to Teaching Conference in Washington, D.C. in November 2004 and the National Center for Alternative Certification Annual Conference in Lake Buena Vista, Florida in March 2005.
